Portraits

These are an example of some portraits I have painted.  They are painted on porcelain tiles, ranging all in different sizes.  They are fired many times in a kiln.  This makes them impervious to the elements, even time.  They never fade in color as oil and acrylic do.  Porcelain painting is a relatively unexplored medium, but a very rewarding one.  If you want a custom portrait done of your loved one or even of yourself, give me a call or e-mail me. Most artists charge much more for this type of custom work.  I can work from a photo.    A tile size of 8" x 10" roughly would cost around $100.00.  This is per person, for every person (say a family photo) above that, would cost $100.00 per person. Tile price is not included, that will vary.   Check out the frames below and Tiles for pricing.

Remember, This is just the cost of the tile and frame, not the artwork that I will do.  If you just want the tile, not the frame, I strongly suggest for you to go to a frame shop to get it framed.  Since the tile is 1/4" thick there should be a gap made for this on the back of the frame.  Standard frames do not have this.  There are smaller sizes as well, e-mail me if you want to know what these are.

Although the photo's don't really show it, the gold and velvet frames are quite impressive and lend a rich quality to a portrait.
